Marsha Mason and Dr Umut Ulge, Phd, will take us beyond DNA and RNA. "Biotech is fundamentally the use of biological systems to solve problems. In this talk, we’ll focus on how Seattle biotech companies are advancing medical therapies".
Marsha Mason has a bachelors degree in Chemistry from the University of Washington and is currently attending Harvard University to expand her education into Program Management. She has been working in Research for 15 years as a laboratory scientist and, more recently, as a program manager supporting the research team. Marsha is currently the Associate Director of Program and Portfolio Management at Shape Therapeutics.
Dr. Umut Ulge completed his MD and PhD at the University of Washington and his medical residency at Indiana University. He cofounded Seattle based Neoleukin Therapeutics Inc where he initiated clinical trials of the first fully computer designed therapeutic. Umut is currently a Translational Advisor at the Institute of Protein Design at the University of Washington.
