The district boundaries are changing to be 45th street north to 145th street, west to the Aurora corridor, and east to Lake Washington. Darya lives in the Lake City neighborhood and sees individuals struggling on the street experiencing mental illness and substance use everywhere she goes. This is why her top issues are the intersection of housing, homelessness, behavioral health, and the criminal legal system. Learn more about Darya online at www.DaryaForHouse.com.
Friendly's non-profit "Flower-Fundraiser" was concieved to help "equalize" the programing for Title 1 schools in working class neighborhoods like Lake City. Unlike fundraisers in more affluent neighborhoods, its funds can benefit any PTA. Its fair to the farmers, and it perfectly leverages the viral social media habits of local students.
As $20 of each $59 bouquet goes directly to a PTA, its time to get ahead of the Mother's Day rush and order, both for Mom and our community!
