LUNCH MEETING CANCELLED, DINNER SOCIAL INSTEAD at 125th St Grill
Please join the festivities this Thursday evening, June 28th, at 6 pm, at The 125th Street Grill, for our annual “Changing of the Guard” festivities. We will have a fun social evening, replacing our normal lunch meeting, as we thank President Jim for his year(s) and welcome President-Elect Matt to his 2018-19 term. (We also have a June 28th birthday guest, Travis!) I believe Past-President Jenn always preferred the term ‘Transition Celebration’ to these festivities….
We will be able to order individually off of the menu at the restaurant. Roasted items are available on the menu. However, John will be taking payments for the meals (CC okay) and writing one check from our club to the restaurant. It will be easier for John if drinks are handled separately with cash - otherwise, he will be spending all evening doing accounting work rather than enjoying the evening himself!
Ample parking is available at the restaurant.
Kids THRIVE when they have their own space, whether its their own bedroom or a backyard treehouse. But foster kids have neither. What's the fix? Meet the non-profit TREEHOUSE, and our presenters this week, Spencer Sheridan and Sarah Mazur.
Spencer Sheridan is the Event Coordinator for Treehouse. He enjoys going out into the community and spreading awareness of the needs of youth in foster care. Sarah Mazur is an Educational Advocate for Treehouse and she works directly with Children’s Administration, caregivers, and students to work through issues affecting our youth.
