Our speaker Peter Martin is the founder and President of the IPA, 11 Rotary clubs in northwest Washington in a long-term commitment to help the Mayan people of Copán in the western highlands of Honduras. Founded in 2014, they now sponsor 2,000 students from kindergarten through university; have a successful economic development program; and fund projects in construction, water and sanitation, health, and food and agriculture. IPA members usually visit Copán at least four times a year.
Corey Johnson, Founder and Director of Imagine Scholar, believes that education systems can change. Corey partners with students in rural South Africa to co-create educational journeys that equip young leaders with the tools and mindsets to design vibrant societies that they are excited to live in. Corey is a Rotarian from Kirkland.
