Rotary International, as well as District 5030, see DEI - Diversity, Equity and Inclusion - as one possible pathway to building club membership.
Following this theme, our speakers this week will present a District level program that may directly impact our ability to find and retain new members. If anything, this program will certainly deepen our understanding of the four-way test (Truth, Fairness, Friendship and Goodwill, and Benefiting All.) in all its applications across our community.
Where does she get her spunk? As they say, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. She comes from grandparents that were successful business owners and leaders, in Construction, Chemistry, and the NAACP. Her mother was a community volunteer and English teacher, so its not surprising she now calls herself a writer. Its true; As a fee for service consultant she writes grants, strategic plans, fundraising plans, business plans, and various legal documents.
Grants people love to work with her because she gets the job done, and as a new member of our Rotary club we love her great stories. Come to this exciting presentation to see examples of her projects, and to get a taste of the latest beautiful apple to fall from the tree of Tilford.

She engages in environmental advocacy and community habitat restoration in the North Lake Washington area and uses her seat on the City of Kenmore Planning Commission to advocate for salmon-friendly land use and transportation policy.
Tracy will outline the latest project converting an old residential plot on Thornton Creek at 125th (remember the red house there?) into a kid-friendly, salmon-friendly, flood friendly PARK. JOIN US!
